I don't get it
By definition, bear markets result in lower prices. This is typically accompanied by lower volumes, resulting in a dramatic decline in the value of shares traded. In the depression, trading volume at the low was 82% below that at the high. In 1938 the drop in volume was 55%, and in 1974 the drop was 48%.
