I’m trying to figure out what this means, but my sense is that this shows what happened to the worldwide non-US money supply, as the US trade deficit was converted into the global pool of liquidity.
US Trade Deficit -> Foreign Reserves -> Creation of Money -> Too much lending -> Banking Crisis
