I’ve read too many WSJ comments on recent articles about student debt and college costs. Too many are self-congratulatory, the writer talking about going to a state school and working their way through college. Good job, but it’s gotten much more difficult to do this over the years.
1987 was the last year that you could earn minimum wage, work a full time job, and pay for tuition and an average US college. Nevermind room and board.
